Effective January 2, 2018, the County of Santa Cruz Building Counter will open at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, so that contractors may pick up ready to issue permits. Over the counter permits that do not require Zoning staff review may be obtained during this extended time. If Zoning review is required, the contractor will need to wait until 8:00 a.m. to sign up for that service. Please contact the Building Services Division at 454-2260 for more information.
  • The Public Review Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on the proposed Nissan of Santa Cruz dealership is available for review and comment. The comment period ends Monday, February 12, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Click here to access the Notice of Availability and the DEIR for the proposed Nissan of Santa Cruz Project.
This notice is to advise applicants that as of January 2, 2018, submittals for all commercial projects must be submitted electronically. This will relieve applicants of having to submit printed plans, which can be costly. This will also save applicants time because plans undergo simultaneous review by the various reviewing agencies. Also, there will be no need to travel to the County and wait in line; applicants can apply from their home or office.
