Pool Door Alarms

To establish a method by which a residential homeowner may demolish an existing pool and reestablish final grade in the affected area.

POLICY/PROCEDURE:

A permit is required. Submit scaled plot plan showing dimensions from pool perimeter to all structures and property lines. Submit to plan check for possible shoring requirements, if needed.

Remove from pool area all material including concrete, steel, coping, decking, plumbing, and electrical conduit. Call for an in-progress inspection.

Fill with compacted clean fill at 6-inch lifts to final grade. Supply a compaction report from a licensed soils engineer. Final grade and slope must sheet drain to the street or other approved drainage. Call for final inspection.

A permit is required. Submit scaled plot plan showing dimensions from pool perimeter to all structures and property lines.
Pool to be drained and all deleterious material to be removed.
Break out and remove concrete to a minimum 24-inch diameter opening at 4’-0” on center along the center line of the pool exposing re-bar and soil below.
Remove niche light and cord
Abandon all electrical wires from service entrance sub-panel to pool equipment area. When items 1-5 are completed, call for in progress inspection.

Fill pool with a 6-inch layer of clean 2-inch aggregates at the bottom of the pool. Pool deck and coping material when broken into 6-inch to 8-inch pieces may be used as fill. Bring to final grade and call for final inspection
